I can say from experience living off grid not connected to constant power lines and Internet is not the life for the weekend farmer’s market goer. If you have a full-time job outside of your homestead, good luck you will be spending your money hiring someone to replace what you should be doing at home instead.
Its’s a large investment of both will power and money to follow through with generating electricity, sourcing water and building a home. Homesteading in a tropical climate has many advantages for building shelters that do not require insulation and growing food is through all seasons.
