BaKaBean Edon – Shared Harvest Membership Terms

BaKaBean Edon – Shared Harvest Membership Terms

Fair Pricing & Risk Transparency

We acknowledge the risks of investing in agricultural startups—from climate challenges to market fluctuations. Our tiered pricing reflects real costs of:

  • Hive maintenance (bees, equipment, honey extraction)

  • Crop cycles (land prep, organic inputs, harvest labor)

  • Export/import logistics (for international members)

As we gain hands-on experience, we’ll adapt pricing and yields to match actual production data, ensuring fairness.

Deposit & Claim Process

1. Secure Your Share

  • Pay a 10% deposit for:

    • Hive Shares (Quarter/Half/Whole hive)

    • Crop Shares (e.g., 1-acre coffee plot, 5ft² of Scotch Bonnet peppers)

  • Funds raised determine how much we plant/purchase.

2. Fulfillment Window

  • When crops/hives are ready for harvest, deposit holders can:

    • Pay the remaining 90% to claim their share, OR

    • Opt out and receive discounts (see below).

3. Priority for Depositors

  • First access to harvest sales.

  • Exclusive updates (growth photos, yield reports).

Deposit Protection Plan

  • If you don’t complete payment, your share goes to the next member.

  • You’ll still receive:

    • 10% discount on future harvest sales (or equivalent to deposit %).

    • Annual profit-sharing (if applicable, based on final yield).

For Crops (Specific Add-On)

  • “Adopt-a-Crop”: Members can sponsor specific plants (e.g., cocoa, yams) and receive:

    • Labeled harvests (“These Hot peppers was grown for [Your Name]”).

    • Custom yield reports (soil health, rainfall impact).
